![]() Users will have a map and direction to a health resource that would be applicable to their needs.ĭefining the path they need to take, users can find health professionals to diagnose their symptoms and be guided through rehabilitation. Using Google Map API, we used the Maps JavaScript API as well as Google Direction API to define our map and the directions from our origin to end points. We found these locations through google searches of these topics and obtaining the latitude and longitudes of the locations within Toronto.Īfter obtaining our data, we created an html web application as a test to see how it would work. Our datalist consists of addresses of health resources spanning from hospitals, health and mental services. The map will display a line of how to get to the end point. The origin will be initially be York University with the end point being a health resource from dataset. Links to the website via email as well as having our web app on touch screen surfaces that can be found in public such as malls. The web app can be delivered the same way the resources are spread to students. York also provides their own health services and workshops to develop skills for school.īut for the people outside of York University or commuters that need to leave campus as soon as possible, we've created a web app that can help relocate them to nearby health resources across Toronto. The University pushes how crucial mental health is for students through emails, posters, and ads across campus. It is common that students develop mental stress and avoid it to stay focused on school even though it's the probable cause for stress. This app is created by Geomatics Engineering students at York University so our origin will be at York University. The first step to this goal is to have people informed on the resources available to them. This goal supports that a healthy life should be accessible for everyone and pushes this through universal free health care with hospital aid and other resources. This web app is a hospital and health resource tracker that supports the third goal of sustainable development goal. I am actively looking for a cheap alternative to this mess.Project 1 Focus on Position and Navigation on the Web Sustainable Development Goals 3: Good Health and Well Being Introduction However, I'm only allowed to do so after the block has passed, forcing me to wait for hours without ANY option. I understand the intention is to prevent our bad habits from not adhering to the block but sometimes, I have to adjust the time. Lastly, being unable to adjust a block's timing sometimes becomes a huge irritation. Want to schedule a block for Monday and Wednesday? Well, your only option is to create two separate blocks instead of just one because of how this app is built. Furthermore, the fact that the only repeat options are daily, the entire weekend, every weekday, or just one day of the week is ALSO extremely annoying. Instead, if I no longer want something repeated, I literally have to remake all the blocks ONE BY ONE, which is extremely tedious. First, the fact that there is no option to switch on or off non-active scheduled blocks, like you can with the iPhone Alarm app, is ridiculous and a huge inconvenience to me. I have spent many hours frustrated with how this app functions. Despite the fact that I have had a subscription for a month or so now, which I now fully regret purchasing, I continue to find issues with this app. The longer I use this app, the more I become aware of its long list of limitations. Just make the app more affordable, that's literally all I'm saying. I would imagine that these numbers don't stand well with your argument. ![]() Let's say that 1 in 30 people have written reviews for this app (which is incredibly modest). You get better support, faster updates, and more updates as well.īut in all seriousness, it does NOT need to be this expensive, seeing that you already have a decently sized subscription base. I do see the benefit to you and the consumer by using a subscription model. I just don't fully buy (pun intended) this argument your making. I fully support developers and will happily pay money to support them. I have a hard time with Adobe, but at least they offer a serious range of feature rich tools and programs. This app works, yes, but is it remotely similar to anything that is subscription based in relation to feature set? Not at all. I'm get tired of the cash grab subscription model that exists with apps now.
